Toro Rosso's Chinese Grand Prix Prixview

The Toro Rosso team is well known for its weird and wacky race previews, which it calls a "Prixview."

Today's for the Chinese Grand Prix next week was no exception:

Acupuncture is an old Chinese skill used to make an accurate prediction about where you are likely to have a puncture when driving the Shanghai International Circuit. Or maybe not.

Here we show you the main acupuncture meridian points for an optimal lap of the Shanghai track. (see pdf)

1) A needle here gives you the courage to take Turn 7 flat out.

2) Needle to promote trance-like state during media sessions.

3) A needle in the "fear zone" to avoid screaming during Shanghai taxi trips.

4) Sticks the driver's right foot to the throttle from the apex of Turn 9 into 10, for speed on the short straight to the 2 nd gear Turn 11.

5) Selects 3 rd gear for the final Turn 16 leading onto pit straight.

6) A pressure point that helps control the car as it gets out of shape at third gear Turn 8.

7) Wakes up the driver at the end of the very long straight, into hard braking 1 st gear Turn 14.

8) This needle gives good speed out of Turn 4 to overtake in the hard-braking Turn 6.

9) Promotes good use of the brakes on this heavy braking track.

10) A key point controlling Turns 1, 2 and 3, which has a blind apex downshifting from 7 th , with a touch on the brakes, keeping momentum through the complex.

11) Helps decide between the Hard and Soft compound tyres used here.

12) Makes the driver aware of tyre graining possibility flat out through Turns 12 & 13.
